Blessed Mabon/Autumnal Equinox!
Mabon is a Pagan holiday celebrating the Autumnal Equinox. Day and Night are equally balanced and after Mabon, the darkness grows a little more each day until we reach Yule aka the Winter Solstice.
Balance is the ultimate theme of this day. We could ask ourselves questions like, Where can we add balance to our lives? How can we re-align ourselves and get ready for the upcoming dark months? What is most important that we need to focus our energy on and what needs to be left behind so that we may move forward?
Mabon is often referred to as a Pagan or Witches Thanksgiving. It is historically a harvest holiday, marking the second to last harvest of the year. It is a great time to find gratitude and celebrate our blessings.
Magickal Suggestions: Decorate your home and your altar with items/colors/scents that correspond with Autumn.
Make a Witches Brew or a simmer pot with the following ingredients:
Cinnamon sticks
Allspice
Clove
Apples
Acorns
Pine
Instructions- Get out your favorite large pot and fill it with water, leaving extra room for the ingredients, turn on your burner, add as much of the ingredients as you feel called to and let that baby simmer for the day. Be sure to check in on your brew and add water as need.
Candle Care Instructions
- The first time you light your candle, be sure to burn it until you have a full melt pool. A “full melt pool” is when the melted wax reaches the edge of the jar.
- Trim your wick between burns if you see "mushrooming" aka, carbon build up.
- If your candle has a wooden wick, be sure to trim in between every burn.
- Do not burn your candle with less than 1/2" of wax remaining.
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time
- Do not leave a lit candle unattended.
- Keep your candle away from other flammables, fans, open windows, hot surfaces, children and pets.
DISCLAIMER
Each item that you purchase from Moon Gangstar Candles is hand made by me, in my home in rural Massachusetts. Because it is handmade you may notice some imperfections such as minor discoloration of the wax and slightly off centered labels. This in no way impacts the quality of the candle.
